Rocket League in Ireland Esports Leagues.

Rocket League is contested in the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series, the official esports league for university and college students on the island of Ireland since 2017. Teams compete through the season toward LAN finals — with student and alumni players consistently impressing on the national stage.

In 2023, SETU's Rocket League team qualified from the Collegiate Series for the Collegiate Rocket League World Championships in Dallas, putting Irish talent on the international map.

Rocket Leagues's national community: RL Ireland.

Separately from IEL's own competitions, Rocket League has a long-standing home in Ireland through RL Ireland, a consistent community champion for the title for years.

In October 2025, Ireland Esports Leagues and RL Ireland announced an official partnership — one of IEL's Official Community Partnerships, alongside the Ireland Challengers League for Counter-Strike 2. As IEL puts it: connected, not competing — the partnership combines RL Ireland's grassroots presence with IEL's structured competition framework, without replacing local organisers.

Players from RL Ireland have also gone on to join the Nativz Esports Club Academy, demonstrating the pipeline potential of community-rooted talent.

Ireland's road to Riyadh in Valorant.

Rocket League is one of the ENC's 16 titles at the inaugural Riyadh event in November 2026 (confirm exact dates at publish). Ireland's campaign is led by National Team Manager Ronan Monaghan.

Team Ireland represents players from across the island at the Esports Nations Cup (ENC), the biennial, nation-based competition organised by the Esports Foundation (EF, formerly the Esports World Cup Foundation) and held in Riyadh in November 2026. Team Ireland is led by National Team Manager (NTM) Ronan Monaghan.

Ronan Monaghan also serves as Operations Lead for Ireland Esports Leagues (IEL); his role as National Team Manager is a separate national-team appointment. Ireland Esports Leagues develops the competitive pathway — across its Schools Series, Collegiate Series and Company Series — that helps Irish talent reach the international stage.
