League of Legends is one of the titles Team Ireland is contesting on the road to the Esports Nations Cup (ENC) 2026 in Riyadh — built on a domestic scene that spans Ireland Esports Leagues' own competitions and the wider Irish League of Legends community.
League of Legends is contested across two Ireland Esports Leagues series: the Ireland Esports Collegiate Series, the official esports league for university and college students on the island of Ireland since 2017, and the Ireland Esports Company Series, the national corporate esports league. Teams compete through the season toward LAN finals.
Separately from IEL's own competitions, League of Legends has a dedicated home in Ireland through Quantex, the country's central hub for League of Legends players — running community-led events and competitive play from grassroots tournaments through to elite-level matches.
Quantex is listed among Ireland's national game communities that IEL works alongside. As IEL puts it: connected, not competing — IEL exists to support and connect these communities, not replace them.
League of Legends is one of the ENC's 16 titles at the inaugural Riyadh event in November 2026 (confirm exact dates at publish). Ireland's campaign is led by National Team Manager Ronan Monaghan.
